The Fraxel® treatment is a revolutionary laser treatment that is able to pinpoint microscopic areas of the skin with precise laser beams that penetrate under the skin's surface and eliminate old, damaged skin cells. This process stimulates the body's own natural healing process and replaces the damaged skin with fresh, glowing, healthy skin. This natural rejuvenation can remove years from your appearance.
Fraxel® Treatment Personalization
As each person's skin is unique, there are many different factors that contribute to the appearance and texture of your skin, such as your genetic makeup, personal history, and lifestyle. This means that your physician will develop a treatment plan based on your skin's individual needs, and can do this effectively due to the complete and precise control that Fraxel® technology offers. Your physician will determine how many treatments you will require to receive the maximum benefits of Fraxel® treatments, but for most people this is usually 3 to 5 sessions, which are spaced 2 to 6 weeks apart.
FDA Cleared Fraxel® Treatments
These types of treatments using Fraxel® technology have been cleared by the FDA:
Skin Resurfacing

Side Effects: There will be some redness and swelling. This will be different per the individuals natural healing ability and how agressive the treatment was. There may also be minor itching, peeling or flaking, dry skin, and a bronzed skin appearance. Since these effects will be different based on the individual, you will be given specific instructions for your treatment to minimize the side effects.
Aftercare: Wear a sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher and avoid direct exposure for at least the next 3 months. It may also be helpful to wear wide-brimmed hats if you plan on being in the sun.
